Old Dominion Acquatic Club

The mission of the Old Dominion Aquatic Club is to promote competitive swimming as a USA Swimming team for athletes at all levels of ability. We define success as sustained, individual pursuit of excellence bounded only by our swimmer's desires and personal abilities, which allows them to be the best they can be, achieve personal goals and have fun in the program.

We maintain a system of personal values among our swimmers: which are honesty, integrity and sportsmanship.
We promote a team environment which encourages goal setting, hard work, personal commitment and camaraderie.

Summer 2008 Practice schedules have now been posted under Long Course Practice.

Coach Steve attended the "Eastern Zone High Performance Council" meeting and has been placed on a USA Swimming Committee to look at Senior Swimming in the Eastern Zone. He was 1 of 4 members choosen out of a group of 30 coaches that were invited to the meeting.

Congratulations to Matt Balderston, an ODAC Alumni, who has won a NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
The NCAA awards fifty-eight(29 male, 29 female)one-time $7,500 grants for each sport season, Fall, Winter and Spring. Balderston is the only ACC athlete to be selected for the winter awards, and is the first Tiger to be selected since Spring of 2005.
The scholarships are awarded to the student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and are in their final year of intercollegiate athletic competition.

*****ODAC has earned Level 4 in the USA Club Recognition Program. We are currently the only club in the Nation who has earned this level.Information about the Club Recognition Program.
